Cheshire Wedding at Quarry Bank Mill
In early October 2016 I was once again booked to supply my disco & uplighting for another Cheshire wedding in Styal Cheshire. The venue in question was the fabulous Quarry Bank Mill for which I am the recommend Wedding DJ & Lighting supplier.
The couple in question (Cat & Martin) had supplied a playlist using my online planner. This list had a round 70+ songs on for the night plus an additional 10 Do Not Plays, which I also consider a very important factor to consider.
Uplighting
I turned up at around 8 in the morning to set up the uplighting and set it to their colour, which in this case was Purple. It was all installed and set and turned off. Then it would be turned on in the evening during the room turn around. This makes the room look totally different for everyone, and gives a real WOW Factor for everyone including the day guests.
Cake Cutting
I arrived in the evening and wait for the room to empty after the meal and speeches. I then set-up for ready for the evening. Once the room is ready, everyone comes back upstairs. We were then straight in to the cake cutting followed by the 1st Dance. The cake cutting was organised and done to the B&G request of the funky Cut the Cake – Average White Band.
First Dance
The cake was removed, and into the 1st dance we went with the beautiful timeless classic of Fred Astaire – Cheek to Cheek . To which the happy couple did a dance routine. The guests were invited to join in and share in the moment halfway through. Which everyone did and made the moment extra special.
Party Time
The 1st party dance had been requested by Cat & Martin as Groove is in the Heart – Deee-Light , Which was a 1st for me it has to be said. But off we went on musical journey hitting some usual places and not so usual places. My Old School Yard – Steely Dan, Pink Floyds’ – Another Brick In the Wall and not forgetting Ringlefinch – Drink Alone as some of the more unusual place we visited but having fun all the way!!!
Feedback
Review – What the Bride and groom said on Facebook
A massive thank-you to David for making the evening part of our wedding such fun. The set-up was completely fuss free and the music great. He was amazingly accommodating with our choices, but mixed in with loads of stuff of his own that fitted in really nicely
🙂 The photos from the event show just how much people were getting into it!
Also, David was an absolute pleasure to deal with leading up to the event. Really responsive and well organised – I couldn’t recommend him highly enough!Cat and Martin
Not a lot for me to add other than have a look at the pictures, on here and Facebook maybe. If you are having your wedding here at Quarry Bank Mill or anywhere else in Cheshire / North West, give me a call. I’m always happy to discuss music 🙂
