Great John St October Wedding – David Lee Wedding DJ
I was once again at the stylish Great John St Hotel in Manchester City Center for the wedding of Jayanna & Alex in October 2016. Having played here in the Rooftop Suite many times before, I knew what and where I was going. And it wasn’t long before I had background music paying and easing the guests into the party part of the evening.
The 1st Dance
First Dance at Great John St Wedding
The had chosen Amazed by Lonestar as their 1st dance. The guests where then invited to join to share the moment.
The 2nd Dance

I give my couples the chance of choosing their 2nd dance. Now this can be another slow song, another moment song or it also gives you the opportunity to choose the 1 party dance song of the night and that is what happened this evening. Their song of choice was Shut up & Dance by Walk the Moon which is such a great 1st dance floor track.
Party Time

From Shut up & Dance until the end of the night, the dance floor was never empty. I was throwing some Motown & disco very early on but after that the majority was more recent pop, chart, indie, Madchester tunes. I was only given a playlist of around 19 tunes, so I was adding my own and taking requests all night and what a fab time we had.
Last Dance
Dirty Dancing anyone
So for the last dance they has requested Time of my Life – Bill & Jennifer Warnes and it brought the house down. Everyone left was up giving it some. Such a great end to a fabulous evening of music and dancing.
