Lowry Wedding June ‘15
The Compass room above the The Lowry Theatre is most certainly one of the more unique wedding venues in Manchester. With 75% glass walls allowing you some great views across Salford Quays and across the city, it certainly is a venue that stands out.
Rebecca & Michael arrived in to the room for 6.20pm. I was supposed to be there at 7pm, but I was early, so took over the music for background etc, from the start. After some food, speeches and photo’s we got down to the nitty gritty – partying! 🙂
The 1st Dance
The new Mr & Mrs Nield had the whole of the Ed Sheerans Thinking Out Loud for themselves. They then had a 2nd dance ‘For your babies by Simply Red’, and they then invited their guests to join in and share the occasion with them.
Party Time…
Due to sound restrictions that are specific to the lowry, the party didn’t start properly until a bit later around 9.45/10pm. After which I was allowed to increase the volume level by the venue. Once I was given the go ahead the dancefloor was in constant use for the rest of night.
Finale
Due to travel restrictions that are unique to this venue, a lot of guests leave between 12-12.30 so for the last 30mins we were left with around 20 guests but we made sure it was worth them staying. Playing a special megamix of Dirty Dancing and the finale song of the night – Please forgive me by Bryan Adams.
So once again, another great and eventful evening in the Compass room at the Lowry. And I am looking forward to going back again at some time in the not too distant future.
