MOSI Wedding DJ

Lisa & Jason’s wedding at MOSI (Museum of Science & Industry) Wedding venue in Manchester city centre is a little different. And this was the 1st time I had performed here. Such a unique venue, with all these engines and trains etc.  It’s not for everyone but those do want it love it! With a relatively small crowd for this Friday wedding I was hoping for a enthusiastic bunch of revelers and that’s what I got 🙂

1st Dance

The music that had been requested for the night was a mixture of Chart & Eighties with a heavy influence of Manchester, Indie and Pop Punk. So with that in mind the 1 st dance was The Smiths – There is a light that never goes out. Lisa & Jason started the dance, and then encouraged everyone to join in – which they did with great vigor.

Party Time

Alittle Tenacious D Never hurt Anyone….

As the night progressed and we shifted around the request list there was a great vibe in the room. One of the dedications was for the Bride and a few of her friends to the classic mix that is 5ive Megamix . I also threw in some Guns & Roses, Happy Mondays James and even a little Tenacious D!

Last Dance

Nearly the last dance

Well not strictly true if I’m being honest. The Bride and groom were set to leave around 11.30, an hour before we finished. With this in mind, and they hadn’t asked for a last song or going away track etc. So I just kept playing. Here they are still dancing at twenty past midnight to a bit of Fleetwood Mac and you can go your own way.. In the end they left a few minutes from the end, as I was playing Green Day – Good Riddance (time of your lives). Think it’s safe to say they didn’t want to go…..

And Finally…

Safe to say everyone enjoyed the evening, admittedly some left early with it being a Friday but those that stayed, enjoyed, danced and partied until the end, including Lisa & Jason, who had every intention of leaving an hour earlier. Always a good sign.
