Mytton Fold wedding Weather, Not the best
To start with the weather wasn’t the best for this wedding at Mytton Fold Hotel, Clithero, Lancashire. So with snow planned for the following 10 hours, I left early to make sure I got there i plenty of time. Nothing left to chance. As expected the roads fine once I hit the man A roads, but still wasn’t going to chance it. I’d rather leave early, arrive early, and wait, than arrive late. And so it proved to be, I ended up waiting around an hour and a half, but that’s what I do. I don’t want to be the one that doesn’t turn up.
David, Thank you for your DJ set at our Wedding on sat 16/01/16. The night was amazing. You have been brilliant from start to finish. Highly recommended. The New Mr & Mrs Gibson (Ash & Jo)
The 1st Dance

The bride and groom had a 2 piece acoustic group playing for the first hour. This ended with the band playing the 1st dance song, which was a cover of John Legends – All of Me.

Wedding Playlist
The Music from their playlist was mainly a selection of chart tunes, dance hits and a lot of Urban, R’n’B and Rap. Whilst this consisted of the majority of the tunes I also managed to throw in some requested tunes from Motown & Eighties as requested on the night. Party Time…
Everyone getting their uptown funk on
So with the genres of music already requested, plus some of my thrown in for good measure we proceeded to make sure the night was a party success. There was even a request for Uptown Funk for a certain group who had planned a flash mob type of thing.
The Irish Clan
Carrickfergus ending the Irish Set.
There was a small selection of Irish there and I had been asked to play a few party tunes for these guests which was greatly appreciated. Ending with a song called Carrickfergus which I hadn’t heard before but they absolutely loved. Ending with the Bride & Groom in the centre of their circle.
And Finally…
Last Dance at Mytton Fold Wedding
So to finish the evening at this Mytton Fold Wedding, the bride and groom hadn’t specficied a particular song to finsh the proceedings, so I chose a couple to end on a big high. But last minute the bride asked for a couple of one’s I’ve never played before at the end. Stay Young – Oasis and the last dance Hello – Adel . Ended with everyone in couples or singing their heats out 😀

At the end of the nigth
After packing up, changing and getting ready to go I was then greeted by this site at 2am with an hours drive home still to go. The life of a wedding dj – for the love of the job! 😀
