The Place Aparthotel Wedding DJ & Lighting. Blog post from this wedding from November 2016 at this great Manchester wedding venue. Nathaele & Sergio are from Reunion Island & Naples, so apart from the normal party classics, they also wanted a selection of home grown songs for their guests. This made for a slightly different playlist than the norm but still everyone had a great time!

First Dance

We kicked off the evening with the happy couple first dance which was the lovely  The Power of Love – Celine Dion . They started the dance and their guests where invited to join in around half way through the song to help share in the moment.

After that we kicked of the evening party with Shut up & Dance – Walk the Moon and soon we had everyone up abusing the dance floor and making shapes.

Thanks David for the outstanding lights and great DJ experience! We had lots of fun, and everything was set up perfectly! Music was great and had good time dancing and singing along! It was a pleasure also to receive all the pictures of the evening. See you at the next event!

Party Time

Throughout the evening I was playing on the night requests, some of the small playlist supplied before hand via the on line planner, as well as adding my own suggestions to keep the party rockin’. The chart had some Jess Glynn and Bruno Mars in it, and some old favorites I hadn’t played for years. 4 Non Blondes – What’s Up being a perosnal favorite from the finale, Along with Ho Hey Luminares .

 

Home grown Songs

As mentioned there was a request from the happy couple to play some songs for the families. They supplied me with a selection to choose from prior to the evening. Off we went around 11 clock playing some french songs to start with. These were whole heartily embraced and danced to including Richi e Poveri – Sara Perche Ti Amo among others. For the guests from Naples there was only the one song but what a song. Nessun Dorma – The 3 Tennors . It really made a nice change to do a 20/30 minute set of different songs.

Place Aparthotel Lighting

I also supplied and installed the Teal uplighing around the perimeter of the venue, along with the white fairy lighting up the pillars. The coloured uplighting looked fabulous around the open brickwork walls. And the pillars, with help from my fairy lights,  really came to life instead of being big tubes of grey in the middle of the room. Basically the room looked great. But hey I would say that, but so did the Bride & groom – read the review above 🙂

Finally…

All in all not only did the room fantastic but the night went down a storm. Lots of people dancing all night, playing all the requests and basically helping everyone to have the best time ever.
