Rochdale Town Hall Great Hall Wedding DJ & Lighting
At this Rochdale Town Hall Great Hall Wedding I provided uplighting in the hall, background music and wireless microphones for the speeches. And obviously the evening Disco entertainment. I also added a couple of uplighters to the Arches in The Exchange to brighten up the ceremony arches. Read about all this Ethiopian inspired wedding.

Wedding Speeches in the Great Hall
I arrive a little early, and the day was over running a little, so I started playing some background. I also said if this was the case, I would supply my microphones for the speeches. This works a treat, as it was a smaller wedding and my P.A. was better suited to do the job.
Venue Lighting

The venue lighting was installed first thing in the morning, along with my disco set-up. This allowed me to get playing as soon as possible and saves on disturbance in the evening. I installed some uplighters in the wedding arches on a warm white. I then changed this to blue when I arrived in the evening. The Great Hall was different. It was set to the colours of the Ethiopian flag, Green, Yellow & Red. So each wall was set to these colours. As nice as this was during the day it really came alive in the evening.
First Dance
First Dance at Rochdale Town Hall Wedding
The bride and groom had a dance routine which they did for the first half of their dance. When he dipped her and kissed, this was my signal to invite their guests to join in. Which they then did, and the couple got lost in the crowd of bodies. It was classic song as which I haven’t played as a first dance for years, and it went down a treat. Ben E. King – Stand By Me.
Party Time
Party Times in the Great Hall
As mentioned we over ran a little, so after the first dance we got going through the playlist. Which consisted of mainly Party classics, reggae, little Ska, chart & Rock ‘n’ Roll. We also had a section of Ethiopian music which was real funky and got lots of people up. To be honest it was one of the more varied nights of music I’ve played in ages, but everything worked, and a great night was had by all, specifically the bridge & groom. As you can tell from the pictures.
