Rooftop Lounge Wedding at Great John Street Hotel
Another rooftop lounge wedding at Great John St Hotel, another great night of dancing and singing. This time for the happy couple of Cara & Ryan, and a load of guests up for having a great time. On this occasion I was to set-up after the meal / turnaround and be ready to play for 7:30pm. As the norm with weddings, it over ran and it was nearer 8:30 before we got any music playing. But when we did they all started making up for lost time.
First Dance
Their first dance was a perosnal favorite of mine Ray Lamontange – You are the best thing .They had the first half of the song for themselves and to allow their photographer to get those important images. Then their guests were invited to join in and share the moment with them.
Father Daughter Dance
We then followed the 1st dance with the Father Daughter song. As everyone was up in their couples already, we jusr dedicated it to rather than having just the Bride and here father. The song of choice for this moment was Heartland – I loved here first.
Party Time
I wasn’t given an extensive playlist before hand, wasn’t given much of list at all. I was only given 1 song ‘if possible’ Kings of Leon Sex is on Fire . Which of course I duly obliged. I was also given 3 other guidelines 1 – No Old Rock 2 – Play some happy music. 3 – Leave it up to me. So with that in mind and with the requests from the guests, we had a musical journey that twisted it’s way through various musical genres and artists but maintained a full and bouncing dancefloor.
Finally
So all with all the music being played I think it was safe to say the Cara & Ryan had a great night at their Rooftop lounge wedding at Great John Street. Helped along in the evening by their guests choice of songs and mine. Good time had, great memories made.
