I was booked to play at The Castlefield Room by Scott & Ian who were having their ceremony there as well.

The happy couples 1st Dance was the lovely Come away with me – Nora Jones. They had some concerns about the size fo the dancefloor as they had a dance routine to perform for it. No need to worry as everything went great. They even had some scores from the guests, which wasn’t expected, but very amusing.

Party Time

The on-line playlist was a list of around 20ish tunes filled with eighties & some house music, with a few party classics thrown in for good measure as well. As you can tell by the images the guests had a great time, dancing through to until midnight

Last Dance

Last Dance at The Castlefield Room

The last song of the evening was Time of my life from Dirty Dancing. What I did was play a 12 minute megamix!!! The 1st half being a mix of the old songs in the film, which then goes into the full length version of the song. It Went down a treat with everyone getting on the floor to give the evening a great ending.

And finally

I have played here at The Castlefield Room on plenty of occasions before but only in the Brindley Suite. This was the 1st time I had played in The Merchant Room. I had supplied the music for the Gift Of A Wedding Charity Launch but never a wedding or party. It really is a great Manchester city centre venue for a wedding. Front and rear views over rivers & canals, just make it a really unique.
