Farewell 2015
2016 – what’s new, well before we get to what’s new in 2016, we must ask 2015 to take a bow. Wow what a year 2015 was, lots of new venues, re-visiting lots of old venues, meeting some absolute fabulous brides & grooms and some funky dancing guests. You all have made it a year to remember. I bid you a fond farewell 2015, great memories have been made, and you wont be forgot in a hurry.
Hello 2016
And now 2016, I await with baited breath for the fun and & good times you have in store for my and my clients. I have never had so many bookings for the year ahead at the turn of the year as I do for 2016. So things are looking good for the year ahead.
Already this year…
It’s the 3rd January 2016 and I’ve already played at 1 new venue this year Manley Mere, I wonder how many more new wedding venues I will be asked to perform at this year. As nice as it is venturing pastures new, I still look forward to re-visiting some venues I like to call me second home due to the amount of weddings I have done there. These include The White Hart in Lydgate, I usually get one festive wedding here. The Midland Hotel I already have a couple of bookings for 2016 at this fabulous city center venue. But last but no means least, my home from home, Quarry Bank Mill. I sincerely look forward to lighting or DJing or both for Mandy, Heather, Alison and the team, who always seem to make feel so welcome.
New lighting
I mentioned lighting a moment ago, so here is a good time to let you know that I have invested in more up-lighters now, so I can do multiple rooms / venues on the same day, and my plan is to invest some more Festoons as well. These where very well received at the open day at Quarry Bank I did in November. Along with doing monograms, image projection, flame lights and of course uplighting, I now have a wide variety of lighting to help enhance your chosen venue. I am also going to improve my dedicated lighting website so you can get a proper feel for just the lighting side of things…
Finally
So without further a do, I hope that 2015 was kind to you, and 2016 is better still. I sincerely wish you all the very best for 2016 and beyond.
David Lee.
