Hyde Wedding DJ
This weekend I had a local wedding at Village Hotel Hyde. This was my 1st visit to this particular hotel, even thou I have had the pleasure of playing at various other village hotels in the past.
I arrived at the village hotel Hyde in plenty of time so I could set up in the space to the side of the head table. And as I have plenty of experience of being in this situation, I have now purchased A white booth cloth to help blend in a little bit. It’s the little things! I also played background music throughout the meal to take the edge of the atmosphere and help people relax.
The 1st Dance
The Bride & groom held their 1st dance just for themselves so they could enjoy their moment. Their song of choice was Lifehouse – You & Me which is a really lovely song. This was then followed by the cake cutting. The rain had unfortunately restricted outside photo opportunity earlier in the day, so after the cake cutting a few more pictures were taken in the garden so the ‘party’ didn’t really kick in until later.
If I’m being honest they weren’t the rowdiest of dance floor abusers, but you could tell they were enjoying the music and having a good time. And sometimes that is all they want. Lots of chatting and catching up with friends & family – dancing becomes secondary. You can just get a feel of the vibe and know, they are happy having a drink and a chat and listening to the music.
End of the night
Towards the end of the night the dance floor got a lot more use and and abuse, and everyone had a great time. And the groom came over right at the end and couldn’t stop thanking me and shaking my hand. So all in all another good night was had by David Lee – The Hyde Wedding DJ.
Have you had or having a wedding DJ at Village Hotel Hyde? Have you been to parties where dancing was secondary to a chat and a catch up? did you still have great time? Any questions and personal experiences please feel free to share. Until next time I get booked as a Hyde Wedding DJ….
