I love a thank you…..

And who doesn’t, but with the advent of the digital era, and more and more people are being digitally sociable, I get less and less of these lovely things through the door. I am of course talking about Thank you cards. Now don’t get me wrong, I get thank you notes via email and Facebook reviews etc.  And it is always great to get a thank you note saying how great a night they had and how I played a part, however you tell me. But there is always something about opening an envelope not knowing who, what or why someone has sent you anything. That doesn’t resemble a bill anyway 🙂 .  Then you open it up and all of sudden you remember that party, that dance floor full and the fun everyone – including me – had.

I have just received another thank you for a wedding I did at the beginning of June, and it just made my day. As they all do. but nearly 2 months after the wedding, I get a reminder that this is why I do my job. Not just to give people a great party night to their special day, but to create memories they will hopefully carry with them for a lifetime.
