Soughton Hall Wedding DJ Services. Soughton Hall in Flintshire, North Wales is such a beautiful wedding venue. Long drive, grand buildings, picturesque gardens and a fab team of people who couldn’t be more helpful to make you have the best day. I was booked to supply the wedding breakfast music and microphones as well as the evening reception entertainment.

Wedding Breakfast

Let me start my saying the bride & groom At this wedding had very specific ideas about the music. Not just evening, but the entrance music for the wedding breakfast and for their guests, as well as during the meal and the evening. We started off the afternoon with Welcome to the Jungle – Guns & Roses for the guests to make their way into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. This was then followed by White Wedding – Billy Idol and Born in the USA – Springsteen. And for the grand entrance of the happy couple – Bonnie & Cyde  – Beyonce & Jay-Z . I then played a load of songs from their background playlist, which was a mix of new, old, pop, urban & rock. This was followed by the speeches, for which I provided wireless microphones. I always feel this is essential for marquees due to the room acoustics.

 

First Dance

Once we we’re all ready to proceed with the evening session, we had the Cake Cutting, followed by the 1st dance and father daughter dance. The 1st Dance was Dice – Finlay Quaye . We had the guests joining in half way throught to really make a moment. We followed this wit the father daughter dance which was Baker Street – Gerry Rafferty. Everyone was invited to stay and join in, and they did!

The Party!

As already mentioned there was an extensive playlist provided they had put together, and requested I stick to as best possible. No worries wit that. A little bit of 80’s, Dance, Old Skool, Chart, Beyonce, and plenty of Urban / Rap. We lost a few t the buffet as per the norm, but generally the floor was full from start to finish.

Last Dance

As we approached the last dance we had to squeeze in a little Insomnia – Faithless ( which I loved it has to be said) followed by the last dance. As pretty much everyone was already on the dance floor  we just went straight into it. The verve – Lucky Man.  Big circle, lots of hugs and love for everyone.

 

 

 

 

Finally…

It was an absolute pleasure to do this wedding. For me it’s all about the music, and accepting your musical playlists and going with the flow to see what we end up dancing too. I also like to see which I don’t get to play, which unfortunately happens when too many songs get requested.  Just love my job. And I loved this wedding at Soughton Hall.
