In Feb ’22 I was back at the white hart Lydgate, Saddleworth for another wedding helping to fill the dancefloor. Great tunes were played and dancefloor emories made for and with the happy couple.
Firstdance
After a bit of background to warm the guests, we kicked off the evening with a bit of Jack Johnson – Better Together – gets everyone singing along.
Party Time
Their playlist was pretty miimal with a only a few specific requests along with e following guidlines “70/80/90/00 and now. Mix of pop, indie, party etc” . So with that in mind and taking requests from the guests we worked our way through evening playing music to keep it jumping!
One off their list which I don’t play that often but when it’s their I always do, is Human League or Phil Oakley & Giorgio Morodor – Electric Dreams – Love it! We then moved on t some 90’s pop.
End of the night and finale
Whilst in the 90’s which led to some 90’s classic dance anthems which went down a treat inlcuding Robin S, Black Box, Todd Terry, and Nightcrawlers – Push the feeling on. Finishing the evening off with some Indie which included a healthy amount of ‘Madchester’ tunes from Oasis, Pulp, Stone Roses, James . This led on nicely to last few songs of the night which one Oasis – Don’t Look Back in Anger to finish off the night with.
